About

Who I Am

I’m Chris — a software and solutions engineer based in the Bay Area, currently building internal tooling, automations, and yapping at SavvyMoney. I spend my days improving workflows and occasionally remembering to eat lunch.

I graduated from UC Berkeley in December 2024 with a B.A. in Computer Science. College was great. I took classes on computer security, AI, computer networks, and databases (personal favorite).

What I Actually Do

Fullstack is the honest answer. I’ve written React components that made designers happy, Django endpoints that made no one happy, and AWS configurations that made my wallet cry. I’ve also been deep in the LLM space — building AI automation pipelines, wiring up Claude, and generally trying to get models to do useful things instead of confidently wrong things.

On the infrastructure side: Docker, AWS (more services than I’d like to admit), CI/CD pipelines, the works. I’m comfortable diving into a codebase I’ve never seen and either fixing the bug or at least understanding why it’s unfixable before 5pm.

Outside the Editor

I run a homelab of repurposed hardware that I use to self-host things, experiment with networking, and build projects like an alarm clock for my Roku TV (because apparently I needed that to exist). It’s part hobby, part messing around, and part “I can’t believe this actually works lol.”

I write occasionally on Medium. Just a thought dump more than anything.
